If you haven’t heard of it then think of it as the little sister to SXSW – smaller, kinder, easier and super friendly. It has the film, interactive and music elements and is spread throughout the fabulous downtown central hub of Toronto.

Toronto’s super-cool NXNE music, film & Interactive festival have just launched their first batch of musical talent who will be gracing the stages between June 14th-20th. JUST announced is the mighty Iggy & The Stooges. Other acts announcned today include: X, The Raveonettes, De La Soul, Mudhoney, Les Savy Fav, Man or Astroman, Cold Cave, Japandroids, Surfer Blood, Kid Sister, Wavves, Thee Oh Sees and Sloan.

With a population of 6.1 million Toronto somehow still feels spacious and as one of the most multicultural cities in the world it offers up some of the best cuisine too.
