Taking inspiration from the BBC’s Human Planet series she has crafted illustrations and even carpet.

One of the documentaries that really made an impact on Kling was of one of the last uncontacted tribes living in the Brazilian rain forest along with a tribe building house in the Amazonian treetops – 30 meters up in the air.

“It is showing unexposed ways of living that really inspired me – especially living in London, which can be really hectic and intense. I need to remind myself there is another way of living out there, that is completely different from the one surrounding me.”

Kling to the wild is showing at Lynfabrikken in Århus until 15th of June.
