Listen to your favourite radio show over and over again with the new RecordЯ from ROBERTS. The DAB/FM RDS digital radio recorder boasts a one touch record function enabling techy enthusiasts and avid radio listeners to manually record live FM and DAB radio direct to SD card for the very first time!

Sound complicated? It really couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is insert an SD or SDHC card in to the side of the radio, press and hold the PausePlus button and the station you are listening to can record up 24 hours or pause 60 minutes of live airtime so you can listen back at your own leisure.

Combining a sturdy design with ease of use the RecordЯ also offers PausePlus, the revolutionary way to enjoy uninterrupted radio listening. The Sky Plus of radio, with a single press of the PausePlus button you can put your favourite station on hold for up to 60 minutes while you answer the phone, doorbell or attend to any other pressing task. When ready, simply press the PausePlus button again to resume listening to the programme where you left off, so you won’t miss a single word or tune! And as an added benefit, you can also rewind live radio for up to 60 minutes should you miss your favourite song or simply want to listen to it again. For something just missed, a short press goes back seconds, a long press will wind back more rapidly through the stored programme.

The RecordЯ is a great gadget when it comes to planning ahead too as you can set the radio in advance to record up to four different programmes – especially handy if you’re off on holiday and about to miss the final installment of a play or a favourite show.

Available in a stylish white gloss finish the compact radio offers excellent sound quality whether you choose to listen to DAB or FM stations as well as a host of other features including an alarm with four separate settings so you can choose to wake to DAB, FM, SD card or buzzer alarm. Each alarm can also be set to sound once, daily, on a specific date, weekdays, weekends or weekends.

If you have a penchant for listening to the radio as you’re nodding off, the Sleep function is guaranteed to appeal. The setting can be adjusted between five and 120 minutes, in five minute increments. The Nap timer is another useful feature, which allows you to set the radio to wake you up after a pre-determined interval (up to 2 hours) without needing to set the alarm.

Returning for a sixth year, Moseley Folk bring their best line-up yet to the verdant foliage and glistening waters of Moseley Park and Pool. Ex-Touareg warriors from the Sahara Tinariwen headline, with their soul-entrancing style of acoustic desert music. Billy Bragg and Badly Drawn Boy are also highlight performances to keep in mind. The Lunar Stage hosts local talent Pram and their creepy Victorian soundtracks. Other activities include eco-fairground rides, morris dancing and storytelling pirates.

Known as ‘Britain’s sweetest music festival’, Summer Sundae hosts acts as diverse as Blur guitarist-turned-solo-artist Graham Coxon, electro-dance trio Factory Floor and pop-rock boy band McFly. Now in its 11th year, the festival has grown from an initial one-day concept, with headliners Morcheeba and Lambchop, into three days jam-packed with bands. The Rising, Musician and Cabaret tents are certainly the place to be for a range of up-and-coming treats.

FESTIVAL COMPETITION: Boardmasters

The Relentless Boardmasters is the UK’s only surf, skate and music festival offering the ultimate in World Class surf and music. As a celebration of 30 years of surfing at Fistral Beach the event has upgraded its Men’s ASP surf event to a 6 star event which will bring the best up and coming surfers on the planet. In a move to represent all aspects of surfing, longboarding including a 3 Star Men’s ASP event and 6 Star Ladies ASP event have been added to the agenda.

Fat Boy Slim headlines as Boardmasters highest-profile act to date, in celebration of 30 years of surfing at the event. Applauding the area’s heritage in all its glory, Fistral Beach will host world-class surfing, skateboarding and BMX, with a new professional longboarding feature. The Watergate Bay site hosts a whopping nine stages, featuring the likes of Klaxons, The King Blues, Eliza Doolittle and Zane Lowe, providing a range of tastes to suit all different audiences.

There will also be Skate and BMX competitions as well as the Beach Sessions, all taking place on the home of British surfing. The beach front is transformed into an entertainment hub with activities including surf, BMX, skate and bikini comps, retail stalls, intimate gigs and nearly a mile of sun soaked sandy beach. The only ticketed event at Fistral beach are the Beach Sessions, the rest is free for you to enjoy.

Most of the music will be happening on the cliffs of Watergate Bay. The backdrop setting of an endless blue sea creates a one of a kind atmosphere around the site. With 9 live music stages, festival campsite, fairground, catering, exhibitors , VIP bars and the View stage- this is the place to be!

Also onboard are eccentric threesome Young Knives, The Whip and Nero. Each stage will host its own theme – Kaylied Tent will hold folk music, Calling Out Stage will give new music a chance to shine, while Glow Dance Stage needs no explanation.
