Listen to your favourite radio show over and over again with the new RecordЯ from ROBERTS.  The DAB/FM RDS digital radio recorder boasts a one touch record function enabling techy enthusiasts and avid radio listeners to manually record live FM and DAB radio direct to SD card for the very first time!

Sound complicated?  It really couldn’t be easier.  All you need to do is insert an SD or SDHC card in to the side of the radio, press and hold the PausePlus button and the station you are listening to can record up 24 hours or pause 60 minutes of live airtime so you can listen back at your own leisure.

Combining a sturdy design with ease of use the RecordЯ also offers PausePlus, the revolutionary way to enjoy uninterrupted radio listening.  The Sky Plus of radio, with a single press of the PausePlus button you can put your favourite station on hold for up to 60 minutes while you answer the phone, doorbell or attend to any other pressing task.  When ready, simply press the PausePlus button again to resume listening to the programme where you left off, so you won’t miss a single word or tune!  And as an added benefit, you can also rewind live radio for up to 60 minutes should you miss your favourite song or simply want to listen to it again.  For something just missed, a short press goes back seconds, a long press will wind back more rapidly through the stored programme.

The RecordЯ is a great gadget when it comes to planning ahead too as you can set the radio in advance to record up to four different programmes – especially handy if you’re off on holiday and about to miss the final installment of a play or a favourite show.

Available in a stylish white gloss finish the compact radio offers excellent sound quality whether you choose to listen to DAB or FM stations as well as a host of other features including an alarm with four separate settings so you can choose to wake to DAB, FM, SD card or buzzer alarm.  Each alarm can also be set to sound once, daily, on a specific date, weekdays, weekends or weekends.

If you have a penchant for listening to the radio as you’re nodding off, the Sleep function is guaranteed to appeal.  The setting can be adjusted between five and 120 minutes, in five minute increments.  The Nap timer is another useful feature, which allows you to set the radio to wake you up after a pre-determined interval (up to 2 hours) without needing to set the alarm.

23rd November: Rose Stallard: Known for her street graffiti artwork and rock n roll ties, Rose was commissioned by The Guardian to illustrate their merchandise for this year’s Glastonbury festival and has also worked on projects for Urban Outfitters and Topshop.

24th November: Danny Sangra: Famous for his experimental approach to art using techniques such as design, film, illustration and video. He has worked with brands such as: Sony, BBC, Louis Vuitton and Nylon magazine.

25th November: Natasha Law: In high demand from the fashion world for her paintings and line drawings. Past commissions include Vogue, Mulberry, Harrods, Globe Trotter and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

For a three week residency, Bjork will be performing six intimate shows at Campfield Market Hall, playing host to her first UK dates in over three years. The performances will feature brand new tracks from Bjork’s forthcoming album Biophilia, as well as music from her boundary-blurring back catalogue.

Accompanied by unique musical collaborators, the show will also feature some specially adapted and crafted instruments. A bespoke digitally-controlled pipe organ, a thirty foot pendulum that harnesses the Earth’s gravitational pull to create musical patterns, a bespoke gamelan-celeste hybrid and a pin barrel harp are all prepared for the show, raring to reflect the physical processes that are subject matter to the tracks.

Following the Manchester premiere, the Biophilia live show will travel to major cities around the world. This will see a collaboration with Manchester International Festival, who will be working with young people in Manchester to explore the musicological and scientific ideas behind the project, in a series of unique workshops.

It’s a matter of opinion how cool DJs look with their mixing decks, headphones and time controlling fingers pushing buttons and switches, but there’s now a whole new question to be posed if they get their hands on a Tonium Pacemaker.
