ARMY OF TWO
Army of two focuses on gameplay centred on two-man missions, two-man strategies, two-man tactics and a two-man advantage to bring a new gaming experience to players, online and offline.
The storyline centres on the impact and ethical issues of private military corporations. The two central characters Rios and Salem have to work together throughout the game in order to survive; co-op is no longer a mode it’s the game. By the end of the first mission Rios and Salem leave the United States Army to enter the private sector and are sent to Afghanistan, and then into Iraq to take out terrorist leaders and destroy enemy weapons after the events of 9/11.
The gameplay is clear with hints in the early stages of the game. This game is all about teamwork, thanks to the intelligent partner AI (PAI) that interacts, collaborates and learns from their human partner.
Characters will communicate with each other with a celebratory high five after a kill even swear and slap each other. With Step Jump, one person stands up against a wall and holds his hands out while the other person gets lifted up. The second players can then reach down and pull first person up. Extra cash can be earned with side missions and completing level bonuses. Customize and upgrade weapons and share them with your partner off or online.
You can pimp up your weapons in gold and chrome plating or even diamond studs. Modifying your weapons will raise your aggro meter, which will draw more attention to you. When your aggro meter is glowing, this allows the other player to become virtually invisible, leaving them to do a clean sneaky headshot. EA’s Montreal studios have delivered realistic character and environmental effects including fluid dynamics that showcase open-ocean water-wave simulation as well as High Dynamic Range lighting.
Army of Two looks fantastic is action packed highly violent while being quite comical this game delivers a revolutionary new way to play an action shooter.
