Ami Sol
Having been born in Las Vegas, then moving to Korea (and back to Vegas again) Ami Sol’s work is deeply influenced by a collection of things she experienced as a child and in dreams. Anime, folk tales and being surrounded by beautiful Asian women are the things that have moulded her style as well as hybrids of animals that are an amalgamation of the stuffed toys and pets she had as a child.
Using wood to paint on as her choice of medium due to being ‘spontaneous and beautiful in its natural state’ the characters in her work appear sometimes sad and pensive. “For the most part I try to create an environment and emotion that is relaxed and suggestive at the same time. There are so many contradicting elements in modern life my head spins thinking about it. Perhaps the characters are sad about this... they could also be in a state of reflection, meditation or just sleepy. My goal is to leave it up to you.”
Living in Vegas is a great inspiration to her. “I find it exceptionally easy to make art and music here. Besides the Strip, the landscape is like a blank canvas. Desert and track homes can either drive a person mad or just fuel your imagination into hyper drive, which is what it has always done for me.
This place [Vegas] is full of contrast and diversity. You've got obnoxious lights and noise in one area and the rest is quiet neighborhoods most of them in the desert. Every other day there is a new strip club opening and down the street another church is being built. Natural reserves vs golf courses, cigarette smoke filled buffets vs organic supermarkets and everyone seems to get along...it’s crazy and boring at the same time and I love it. Oh yeah it’s also as hot as hell.”
Shepard Fairey
Shepard Fairey’s blood sugar count is perilously low and it’s little wonder, given that preparations for the US graffiti artist’s biggest ever gallery show are behind schedule.

Maya Wild
To be given the ‘Maya Wild’ treatment must be quite an honour. Being immortalized by her is the delight of many a famous face who have been delicately sketched in her unique lo-fi way.
Sarah Gregory
Sarah Gregory draws gorgeous girls with very little on. Mostly of erotic poses, the beautiful pencil drawings are influenced by the mass-produced pop star memorabilia found in the tackiest of souvenir shops.

Richard Brian
Being a night owl isn’t exactly difficult in a place like Las Vegas. Roaming around at 3am in the morning you don’t have to worry about being lonely with everything open 24 hours.
Casey Weldon
“I try to involve graphic elements to cement the fact that these are just paint on board, and not intended to mimic reality. I couldn't call it surrealism with a clear conscience...
