Proud Camden, London, presents Six Shooters this summer, an exclusive photographic portrait of the contemporary music scene by a collaboration of the UK’s leading music photographers: Roger Sargent, Mick Hutson, Andy Fallon, Paul Harries, Andy Willsher and Andy Cotterhill.
The group formed a lasting friendship at the 1999 Glastonbury Festival and are now the most sought after photographers in the business. Having shot some of the most influential and critically acclaimed musical artists the exhibition is a who’s who of music’s best featuring everyone from Jay Z to Metallica. Eleven years later, despite the cutthroat nature of the business, they have remained firmly in it together – creating a co-op that offers guaranteed great photography as well as artistic integrity. As Serge Pizzorno of Kasabian puts it, “these are the nice guys of Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
Maintaining their nice guy nature the photographers have kindly donated six images to the Teenage Cancer Trust, all signed by the artists captured. The exclusive catalogue includes signed images from Paul Weller, Slipknot, Marina and the Diamonds, Dave Grohl, Noel Fielding and The Libertines.
With a strong music heritage Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual concerts have become one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the British music calendar. Now into their tenth year, the concerts were the brainchild of Teenage Cancer Trust Patron and The Who frontman Roger Daltrey CBE. Each year, the shows have featured some of the world’s biggest bands and artists.
Teenage Cancer Trust believes that teenagers should not have to stop being teenagers, just because they have cancer, and aims to give every teenager in the UK access to support by 2012. The charity funds and develops specialist teenage cancer units within NHS hospitals which enable young people to be treated together, by an expert team, in the best possible environment.
Reliant solely on donations the auction is a great way for Teenage Cancer Trust to combine interests. Bidding has opened on eBay, starting at £150 each, and will end at 8pm on 22 July. Links to bid on all six images can be found on Teenage Cancer Trust’s website.

What a great cause. Its hard enough for an adult to face cancer, but for someone who has so much more life to experience it is terrible.
