The Birthday JD Set is the culmination of a month of celebrations that take place throughout September to mark Mr Jack’s birthday. After a fire at the local county courthouse no-one’s real sure of the exact date he was born. All that’s known is it was sometime in September 1850 – so at Jack Daniel’s they celebrate on all 30 days to honour the man who created their fine Tennessee whiskey, culminating in an almighty gig of rock royalty.

The line up features the UK’s top young music maestros: Brett Anderson, Carl Barât, and Jon McClure (Reverend & The Makers). Each will perform a series of exciting, one-off collaborations with the New Silver Cornet Band – a group of hugely talented session musicians from Mr. Jack’s homestead Tennessee including: David Hood founder of the Muscle Shoal Sound Studio and Wayne Carson who wrote Elvis Presley’s ’Always on My Mind’. This band was formed in celebration of the original Silver Cornet Band created by Mr. Jack back in 1892, thus starting JD’s long standing love and support of music.
There’s no doubt this will be a once-in-a-lifetime show. Brett, Carl and Jon will perform a rare combo of their own tracks and specially chosen classic covers creating completely unique duets and collaborations never to be heard again. With a hat-trick of exclusive artists The Birthday JD Set will be the hottest ticket in town.

1. The promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over only excluding employees of the promoter, [Fused], their families, agents and anyone else connected with the promotion. No purchase necessary.
2. To enter, email the answer with your name, age, address and telephone number to competitions@fusedmagazine.com with ‘JD SET’ in the subject box. Entries to be received no later than September 25th.
3. Only one entry per person.
4. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any illegible entries or those which are delayed or not delivered. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery.
5. There is one prize: a one day trip for the prize-winner and three guests to London to enjoy the Jack Daniel’s birthday celebrations. The prize includes £50 towards travel per person, 1 night’s accommodation and free attendance to the Birthday JD Set on Thursday 8th October in Village Underground, London.
6. The performance line-up may be subject to change.
7. Hotel rooms will be based on 2 people sharing.
8. The promoter will reimburse £50 towards travel per person on arrival at the London hotel. All travel-related administration is the responsibility of the prize-winner and guests.
9. The prize-winner and their guest will need to confirm they are over 18 before taking up the prize. The promoter reserves the right to select alternative winners, should the original winner and guest not validate all of their identity and age within 3 days of notification or if the original winner is unable to attend the Birthday JD Set. The prize draw will be supervised by an independent person and will take place on 26th September. The prize-winner will be the first name drawn at random from all valid entries.
10. The prize-winner will be notified within 3 days and receive further details of their prize within 7 days of verification of their age, as required above.
